CMS advises banks on EUR 750 million bond issue by hsh finanzfonds AöR

26/09/2016

Frankfurt am Main – hsh finanzfonds AöR has been able to build successfully on its initial capital market transactions in 2009 and 2014 by issuing a fixed interest public bond in September 2016 with an issue value of EUR 750 million. The issue was supported by Bayerische Landesbank, DZ BANK AG Deutsche Zentral-Genossenschaftsbank (Frankfurt am Main), HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt AG and UniCredit Bank AG.

A team from CMS Germany led by partner Oliver Dreher advised the joint lead arrangers on all aspects of this “revival” issue.

The team headed by Oliver Dreher previously provided support on the bank side for private issues by hsh finanzfonds AöR as well as hsh portfoliomanagement AöR, the entity established recently to manage the non-performing loans of HSH Nordbank AG.

hsh finanzfonds AöR was set up as an institution under public law by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein. Its function on behalf of the two shareholders is to provide capital support to HSH Nordbank AG, in which the states have an equal stake. This support is aimed at meeting the equity capital requirements imposed on HSH Nordbank.
