CMS advises Bruker on acquisition of SkyScan

02/04/2012

Swiss company Bruker Invest AG has fully acquired Belgian medical and biotechnology company SkyScan from its previous Dutch majority shareholder and other shareholders.

A CMS team from Germany and Belgium advised on all legal aspects of this cross-border transaction. The team was led by Dr Hendrik Hirsch of CMS Hasche Sigle, with Cedric Guyot de Mishaegen and Arnaud Van Oekel of CMS DeBacker acting as co-leads.

SkyScan develops, manufactures and distributes advanced biomedical instruments worldwide, including micro-CT systems for 3D X-ray imaging, bone and soft tissue imaging and 3D imaging of electronic components. The company has been renamed “Bruker microCT” and will continue to be based in Kontich (Belgium) and run by the existing management team.
