07/03/2014

Hamburg – Munich-based listed company CTS Eventim AG is acquiring all the shares in the Stage ticketing companies in the Netherlands, Spain and France from Dutch firm the Stage Entertainment Group. Through its Russian subsidiary, CTS Eventim RU o.o.o., CTS Eventim is also acquiring ticketing sales for the Stage Entertainment Group in Russia.

An international team from CMS led by Dr Henrik Drinkuth advised CTS Eventim on all legal aspects of the transaction and on expanding the partnership.

The acquired companies, See Tickets Nederland BV in Amsterdam and See Tickets Entradas SA of Madrid, are among the market leaders in their respective countries. In addition to tickets for Stage Entertainment musicals, they also sell admission tickets for concerts, sporting and other events.

With annual sales of more than EUR 628 million in 2013 and 100 million tickets sold each year, CTS Eventim is one of the world's largest ticketing agencies. Through its additional Live Entertainment segment, the company also manages concert events, tours, festivals and other live events. The Eventim Group has more than 1,700 employees worldwide. Stage Entertainment is a world-leading musical producer and organiser. In Germany, the firm has been working with CTS Eventim as its exclusive partner for more than three years. Stage operates in eight countries and has some 3,500 employees worldwide.
