CMS advises Franke Group on acquisition of majority stake in Elikor

Stuttgart – The Franke Group of Aarburg, Switzerland, has acquired a majority stake in Elikor LLC, a Russian manufacturer of cooker hoods. The value of the acquisition was not disclosed.

An international CMS team headed by lead partner John Hammond advised the Franke Group on all legal aspects of the transaction.

The Franke Group currently employs around 9,000 people at 66 subsidiaries on five continents. It is divided into four divisions and is a world-leading provider of solutions and intelligent systems for residential kitchens and bathrooms, semi-public and public washrooms, professional foodservice and coffee preparation. In the 2016 financial year, the Group generated revenues of around CHF 2.0 billion.

Headquartered in Kaluga, Russia, Elikor LLC is a leading provider of cooker hoods for domestic kitchens in the Russian market. The Franke Group intends to use the acquisition to enhance the expertise of its own subsidiary, Faber S.p.A., one of the world’s largest developers and manufacturers of cooker hoods.
