Frankfurt/Main – Michelin, a world-leading tyre manufacturer, has entered into a partnership with Mobivia, one of the leading vehicle servicing and repair chains in Europe whose brands include Norauto and Midas. Under the terms of the partnership, Michelin is acquiring a minority interest of 20% in German automotive workshop operator A.T.U (Auto-Teile-Unger) for a total of EUR 60 million.
An international CMS team from Germany, Switzerland, France and Austria advised on the legal aspects of the transaction. On the German side, client relationship partner Dr Oliver Wolfgramm advised Michelin on corporate law, while CMS partners Stefan Lehr and Dr Heinz-Joachim Freund dealt with the competition law aspects of the transaction.

The Mobivia Group is a European market leader in automotive servicing and repair. The international group operates in 16 countries and has more than 11,000 employees.
German automotive services provider A.T.U operates a network of 577 vehicle centres in Germany, plus branches in Austria and Switzerland. A.T.U has been part of the Mobivia Group since December 2016.
