CMS advises NORD Holding on acquisition of online bedroom furniture portal Bruno by RUF Group

Cologne – The RUF Group has fully acquired Berlin-based online shop for bedroom furniture Bruno Interior GmbH. RUF has been part of the NORD Holding portfolio since 2016. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

A CMS team led by Klaus Jäger and Stephan Weling advised NORD Holding on all legal aspects of the transaction. NORD Holding regularly relies on the expertise of CMS, with a recent example being the sale of floor covering manufacturer Parador to HIL Limited of India.

Hanover-based NORD Holding Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft mbH describes itself as a leading equity investor for upper-tier SMEs. It focuses on structuring and financing corporate succession models, acquiring corporate divisions and subsidiaries, and on financing expansion. The company currently has stakes in 15 businesses in Germany and other German-speaking countries.

Bruno Interior GmbH of Berlin sells high-quality designer box spring beds and sofa beds within Germany and internationally using an online-only model. The current managing shareholders will remain on board after the acquisition by the RUF Group to support RUF’s management with their online expertise.
