Hamburg - Deutsche Telekom has bought the media broadcasting rights for the German Basketball League (BBL). Starting next season, this will enable all 350 or so Beko BBL matches to be shown live on Telekom media platforms for the first time.
A specialist team led by lead partner Dr Sebastian Cording advised the German Basketball League on all aspects of the sale.
Deutsche Telekom has acquired all the national and international audio-visual rights to the Beko BBL for the next four years.
The programme supplier for the Beko BBL matches is Beko BBL, which has acquired the licence required under broadcasting law. The CMS team also advised on this matter, with Thorsten Hemme in the lead role.
