CMS advises on successful IPO of hGears AG

20/05/2021

Frankfurt/Main – hGears, a global manufacturer of high-precision transmission parts and components with a focus on e-mobility products, has placed shares with a total value of around EUR 173 million in an initial public offering on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The offering price was EUR 26 per share. This puts the company’s market capitalisation (post money) at EUR 270.4 million. A total of just under 6.7 million shares were sold, of which almost 4.3 million were held by existing shareholders. The company itself will receive just over EUR 62 million, which will be used to boost the organic growth of its e-mobility business. The first trading day on the Regulated Market (Prime Standard) of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange is scheduled for 21 May 2021.

A CMS team headed by lead partner Philipp Melzer advised minority shareholders HPH Beteiligung and M-H Herzog Beteiligung on all legal aspects. The two companies have relied on the expertise of CMS lawyers on a regular basis for a number of years.
