CMS advises shareholders on sale of IT service provider n3k Informatik to VR Equitypartner

Leipzig – n3k Holding GmbH has sold its 100% stake in n3k Informatik GmbH to Frankfurt-based private equity firm VR Equitypartner GmbH. The n3k management team headed by Rainer Maurer (managing director), Alexander Häcker (sales director) and Thomas Erhardt (head of technology) remain shareholders in the n3k Group. The prime aim of the sale is to secure a financially strong partner able to support n3k Informatik’s growth strategy.

A team led by transaction experts Dr Jörg Lips and Dr Jochen Lux advised n3k Holding GmbH on all legal aspects of the deal. The two Leipzig-based M&A lawyers and the associated team have thus again demonstrated their transactional expertise in the IT sector. The team also recently advised on the sale of PDV-Systeme GmbH, a leading German e-filing provider, to a group of shareholders led by Aheim Capital GmbH as lead investor.

Heilbronn-based IT service provider n3k Informatik offers network management solutions for companies and organisations with 1,000 employees or more. n3k Informatik specialises in IP address management, privilege management and Active Directory. Its services cover the entire process from requirements analysis, design, project planning and implementation to training and support. More than 200 companies, including 50% of DAX 30 members, are clients of n3k Informatik.
