Stuttgart – German company Walz Verpackungen e. K. is being sold to Austrian firm Rondo Ganahl AG and will become a subsidiary of the Vorarlberg-based packaging specialist. The sale provides the existing owner, Bernd Walz, with a succession solution. He is also entering into a strategic partnership with Rondo Ganahl AG to jointly develop new markets for specialist packaging, corrugated board and the shipment of hazardous goods. Along with Udo Nachbauer, the CEO of Rondo Ganahl AG, Bernd Walz will become a managing director of the newly formed company, Walz Verpackungen GmbH. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Walz Verpackungen is a packaging specialist located in Ittenhausen, Baden-Württemberg. The company produces special corrugated board and cardboard packaging. Applications include the transportation of heavy goods and hazardous materials. With its more than 120 employees, the company generates sales of EUR 22 million.
Rondo Ganahl AG is a family-owned Austrian company. Its core business is the manufacture of corrugated board packaging and case material, as well as collecting paper and packaging. The firm has plants in Frastanz (Vorarlberg), St. Ruprecht/Raab (Styria), Budapest (Hungary), Apahida/Cluj and Târgoviste (Romania) and Istanbul (Turkey). Rondo Ganahl currently has more than 1,100 full-time employees and generates group sales of EUR 329.2 million.
