29/06/2009

Stuttgart / Mexico City – Allgaier Werke GmbH has acquired Mexico City-based automotive supplier Cables y Estampados S.A. via a newly established subsidiary, Allgaier de Mexico S.A.P.I. A workforce of 230 employees at Allgaier de Mexico will produce pressed components and Bowden cables, primarily for Mexico’s automotive industry and suppliers.

An international team led by Dr Anton Maurer, partner at CMS Hasche Sigle, provided Allgaier with interdisciplinary advice on all aspects of the negotiations. Dr Maurer was supported by Mexican law firm Santamarina y Steta.

With around 1,700 employees and sales of EUR 258.8 million in 2008, Allgaier Werke GmbH is one of Europe’s biggest automotive suppliers. Following this Mexican acquisition, Allgaier is excellently positioned to supply car makers in Mexico and the US.
