CMS Hasche Sigle advises Alliance Holdings LLC on acquisition of First Red Group

Düsseldorf – US private equity fund Alliance Holdings LLC has acquired group companies holding various real estate portfolios from First Red AG, part of the Hamburg-based Garbe Group. The PE fund's European operations are headquartered in London, where Alliance Holdings opened an office earlier in the year specifically for this purpose. The First Red Group is its first acquisition in Germany. The deal is currently awaiting approval by the shareholders' meeting of First Red AG.

Alliance Holdings LLC is a Chicago-based private equity fund specialising in the acquisition of residential and commercial properties. Since 1996 it has acquired 65,000 real estate units in the USA and worldwide. Acquisition of the commercial properties held by the First Red Group is part of Alliance Holdings' plan to build a real estate portfolio in Germany.
