CMS Hasche Sigle advises Allianz Real Estate on acquisition of shares in Europa Passage in Hamburg

Stuttgart – Various Allianz Group companies have acquired the HSH Nordbank AG’s shares in ALIDA Grundstücksgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG and are now sole owners of the Europa Passage in Hamburg. Previously, Allianz Lebensversicherungs-AG owned 55 per cent of the ALDIA Grundstücksgesellschaft shares and HSH Nordbank AG held 45 per cent. 
The Europa Passage is Hamburg’s largest city-centre shopping mall, offering around 30,000 sq m of retail space and 34,000 sq m of office space. 
A team led by lead partners Dr Volker Zerr and Dr Claus-Peter Fabian advised Allianz Real Estate Germany GmbH, which acted on behalf of the purchasing companies, on the acquisition.

The team headed up by real estate expert Dr Volker Zerr regularly provides Allianz with advice on real estate transactions and finance, most recently on the sale of Berlin’s tallest office building, Treptower, as well as the acquisition of an 80-strong portfolio of retail properties from ALDI (sale and leaseback).
