CMS Hasche Sigle advises Asahi Kasei Fibers Corporation on the acquisition of the Dorlastan business from LANXESS

The Japanese Asahi Kasei Fibers Corporation (AKF), Osaka, has acquired the Dorlastan business with production sites in Germany (Dormagen) and the USA (Bushy Park, South Carolina) from the LANXESS group. A team of lawyers from CMS Hasche Sigle headed by Stuttgart partners Dr Anton Maurer and Dr Barbara Wössner advised AKF on the transaction. With the acquisition of the Dorlastan business AKF can further reinforce its position in the field of production of synthetic elastic fibres and gains access to markets in Europe and America.
