CMS Hasche Sigle advises capiton on acquisition of Schwanenmühle Group

Berlin – Capiton has acquired a majority of the shares in the Schwanenmühle Group (SG) from the founding shareholders as part of an MBO. The transaction is currently awaiting approval from the competition authorities. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Dr Eva Annett Grigoleit and Dr Jörg Zätzsch and their team advised capiton on all legal aspects of the transaction. The Schwanenmühle Group specialises in electrotechnical products for use in high-voltage applications. The transaction is being financed by the capiton IV fund and by acquisition loans provided by the banks currently financing the group.

Capiton is an independent owner-managed private equity firm providing support to established SMEs as an equity capital partner. It is a longstanding CMS client.
