CMS Hasche Sigle advises KarstadtQuelle on the sale of shares in DSF and Sport1

As of 1 January 2005 the Munich media group EM.TV AG will assume KarstadtQuelle AG's 49.9 per cent shareholding in Sport Media Holding GmbH. Sport Media Holding holds 81.13 per cent of the shares in the Munich broadcasting station Deutsches Sportfernsehen (DSF) and the Sport1 internet service. In future EM.TV will have an indirect holding of 81.12 percent in DSF and Sport1. The purchase price is 27 million euros.
Dr Martin Bell and Dr Oliver Wolfgramm, partners from the Frankfurt office, advised KarstadtQuelle on the transaction which is still awaiting clearance from the competition authorities.
