CMS Hasche Sigle advises Kinowelt on the acquisition of library of rights for DVD and video from KirchMedia


Kinowelt GmbH has acquired all DVD and video rights of the film library and a large number of cinema rights by way of licence agreement up to and including 2012 from the insolvency estate of KirchMedia. The package includes approx. 5500 films and TV series including classics such as Sissi, Feuerzangenbowle and Lili Marleen. Details of the purchase price were not disclosed. Kinowelt was advised by Prof. Dr Winfried Bullinger, partner in the Berlin office of CMS Hasche Sigle.
