Hamburg – LUXCARA GmbH has acquired another major German solar park portfolio with a total installed capacity of 60 MWp in Briest, Brandenburg, from Q-Cells. Asset manager LUXCARA has acquired the solar park for its FLAVEO S.A., SICAV-FIS fund for institutional investors.
A team led by Dr Holger Kraft advised LUXCARA on all aspects of this complex and interdisciplinary deal from the start. Dr Holger Kraft commented: "We are delighted by the rapid conclusion of this complex transaction. We were able to deliver quickly because everyone involved worked in a highly professional manner with a strong focus on completion."
Occupying open space in Brandenburg, the facility is part of what is currently the largest solar park in Europe. It is under construction on the site of a former military airbase and will deliver a total of 91 MWp. The facility comprises 383,000 crystalline solar modules and is expected to be connected to the electricity grid by the end of this year.
The acquisition was arranged in an exceptionally short period of time because the bridging loan was again structured and provided by LUXCARA itself. Headquartered in Hamburg, LUXCARA GmbH specialises in energy infrastructure investments. The team has extensive experience in the acquisition, structuring, financing and management of portfolios for institutional investors in renewable energy, particularly photovoltaics.
