Leipzig – Chemnitz-based SIGMA Inventuren und Bestandskontrollen GmbH has been acquired in full by L'INVENTORISTE SA of France. The founder and sole shareholder, Steffen Holoch, has sold all the shares to the Paris-based company. The acquisition was financed by a loan from a bank consortium and OSEO, France's public financing institution. The purchase price was not disclosed.
A team led by lead partner Dr Jörg Lips advised the seller on all legal aspects of the transaction.
Established in 1993, the SIGMA Group offers comprehensive outsourcing services for the entire integrated inventory management chain. Its customers are primarily companies from the food wholesale sector and DIY chains. The group has four branches in Germany, one branch in Austria and one in Switzerland, with 250 employees generating sales of EUR 17 million in 2012.
Listed company INVENTORISTE specialises in outsourced inventory services across all wholesale and retail sectors. It has several European branches, which also offer inventory management in Russia and Turkey. The holding company is part of the IVALIS Group, with the subsidiaries in Europe and Brazil being named accordingly. SIGMA complements the business of IVALIS Germany and is expected to support expansion of the company's market leadership in Western Europe.
