CMS Hasche Sigle advises on transaction with Société Générale

CMS Hasche Sigle has advised the sole shareholders on the sale of their shares in PEMA GmbH. With a fleet of over 15,000 commercial vehicles PEMA GmbH is Europe's largest owner-managed commercial vehicle leasing operation. The buyer is GEFA Gesellschaft für Absatzfinanzierung mbH, a subsidiary of Société Génerale S.A. The transaction was given competition clearance by the European Commission last week.

PEMA's truck and trailer leasing business comprises full service with maintenance, repair, tyre service, loss management, vehicle tax, handling of toll-related matters and realisation of vehicles at the end of the term of the lease. PEMA offers its services in Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Romania, Switzerland and Slovakia and via an international network of 26 PEMA distribution offices and workshops in eight countries. PEMA GmbH is unique because it is the only commercial vehicle leasing company with its own network of workshops providing its customers with round-the-clock service.
