Düsseldorf – TÜV Rheinland AG is acquiring highly regarded IT training provider the campus GmbH. Headquartered in Düsseldorf, the campus GmbH is among the most successful centres for professional IT training in Germany. TÜV Rheinland is one of the largest private education providers in Germany, with vocational training courses also offered internationally in 16 countries. This strategically important takeover is a significant expansion of TÜV Rheinland's product portfolio. The acquisition is currently awaiting approval from the competition authorities.
A team led by lead partner Dr Jürgen Frodermann advised TÜV Rheinland AG on all aspects of the transaction.
Established in 1984, the campus GmbH employs 120 people at 12 locations in Germany. It has Premium training partnerships with big-name suppliers of hardware and software such as Microsoft, Oracle and Apple. The acquisition will boost TÜV Rheinland's training portfolio in the IT sector by adding more than 600 IT courses attended by over 40,000 participants a year.
