The Dutch investor Waterland Private Equity Fund III B.V., Bussum, and Löwen Play’s management
acquired a majority stake in Löwen Play, Germany’s second largest gaming arcade operator. CMS

Löwen Play is the second largest amusement arcade operator in Germany. It operates over 4,000
machines in more than 170 arcades as well as a limited number of gaming machines in restaurants and
pubs across Germany. The company, headquartered in Bingen, employs more than 700 people and
generates revenues of € 50 million.
Waterland is an independent private equity firm active in The Netherlands, Belgium and
Germany, with € 625 million funds under management. Waterland focuses on consolidation strategies,
investing in fragmented growth markets.
