CMS Hasche Sigle and CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre recognise academic work in the field of legal comparison

German-French law prize awarded

05/05/2010

Paris – The 2009 German-French CMS Prize for a thesis with a transnational theme has been awarded to French national Anne Mousty in Paris for her dissertation entitled "Negligence liability under German law – a comparison with French law". The 25-year-old wrote her winning entry at Pierre Mendès-France University (Grenoble) as part of her Master II studies in private law.

CMS Hasche Sigle and CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre first awarded the joint German-French CMS Prize in 2005 in order to promote the exploration of legal or tax topics on a comparative basis in both countries. The award is made to postgraduates for theses or dissertations.

The Franco-German CMS Workgroup, led jointly by partners Dr Gerd Leutner, CMS Hasche Sigle and François Hellio, CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre, staged this year's award ceremony at the Paris offices of CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre. The congratulatory address was delivered by Mr Germain Hagenbach, a former member of the Elf board and past president of the Club des Affaires de Berlin.
