Berlin – CMS Hasche Sigle has started the year by appointing nine new partners from six areas of law which are of major importance for the firm. All the new partners have been part of the team for many years at various locations. "Our partnership is again expanding through the promotion of excellent lawyers from within our own ranks, thereby highlighting the firm's ongoing growth strategy," said Dr Hubertus Kolster, general managing partner. "We can look back on a successful year with exciting instructions and major awards, and are delighted to be able to go into 2014 with such deserving and highly competent new partners."
Kolster added that CMS Hasche Sigle is operating in a complex market environment which is increasingly shaped by companies' continuing need to cut costs, increased pressure from new market entrants and growing competition for junior lawyers with the right skills. He noted that CMS Hasche Sigle had been able to maintain its position among the top tier of German commercial law firms and gain new market share. "CMS is very well positioned – clients appreciate our practical, high-quality advice. Our innovative approach is supported by our solid regional roots in major business locations across Germany and in-depth industry expertise," said Kolster. "We thus have a solid platform for success. Together with the expanded team of partners, we will continue to build on our achievements."
