CMS Hasche Sigle once again invites entries for its prize to promote talented young people in the field of corporate law

13/11/2006

Commercial law firm CMS Hasche Sigle has again invited entries for the CMS Hasche Sigle Prize which is funded with EUR 5,000. The prize is awarded annually for academic research (dissertation or post-doctoral thesis) in the field of company and corporate law.

Legal trainees, newly qualified lawyers, lawyers and academics who work at a German university are asked to submit their work by 20 December 2006. The work must have been officially accepted, is to be published or has already been published in 2006.

Dr Franz-Jörg Semler, partner at CMS Hasche Sigle's Stuttgart office and a member of the prize jury, said "The quality of the work submitted in past years has been impressive. With the CMS Hasche Sigle Prize we are delighted to be able to make a contribution of our own to promote young academics in the field of corporate law."

Applications should be sent together with a copy of the work and first and second opinions to Dr Franz-Jörg Semler, Schöttlestrasse 8, 70597 Stuttgart.

The team of corporate lawyers at CMS Hasche Sigle comprises some 180 lawyers and is one of the largest leading practices in the market. The M&A section was recently awarded the title Law Firm of the Year at the Juve Awards 2006.
