CMS Hasche Sigle Prize: High-value award for dissertations relating to corporate law

27/07/2011

Berlin – This year sees the commercial law firm offering the CMS Hasche Sigle Prize for outstanding dissertations in the field of corporate, business and capital market law for the ninth time. The commercial law departments of law faculties will receive all the relevant information over the next few days. The prize has been awarded regularly since 2003.

"The CMS Hasche Sigle Prize is our contribution towards promoting these areas of law, while also supporting younger academics," said Dr Axel Sigle, head of the Corporate and Transactions practice. Dr Joachim Natterer, coordinator of the selection process, added: "We assess in particular the extent to which dissertations are topical, original and practice-related."

The winners will be selected from dissertations accepted in the course of 2010 or during the 2010/2011 winter semester. The closing date for entries is 30 September 2011. The first prize carries a cash sum of 5,000 euros, with second and third prizes worth 3,000 and 2,000 euros respectively.
