23/12/2013

Berlin – Commercial law firm CMS Hasche Sigle is closing its Dresden office. The current head, Dr Helmut Schwarz, is leaving the firm at the end of the year. Schwarz is joining Hamburg-based partnership CADMUS and will work in both cities in the future.

Dr Hubertus Kolster, managing partner of CMS Hasche Sigle: "CMS Hasche Sigle will now focus its strong regional expertise on its Leipzig location. With more than 30 highly-qualified lawyers in our Leipzig office, we have been very active in the region's business world for many years, offering our innovative full-service advice with added international reach."

Dr Schwarz was instrumental as a partner in setting up the Dresden office for CMS Hasche Sigle in August 1995. He intends to expand his key areas of advice, insolvency law and administration, plus restructuring and recapitalisation. Dr Kolster: "We will maintain our close links with Dr Schwarz. We very much appreciate his many years of successful work as a partner in the firm and in the Dresden office."
