Hamburg – The law firm has awarded the CMS Hasche Sigle Corporate Prize 2011. This year's prize winners were honoured at an event coinciding with the awarding of bachelor degrees at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg. This year sees the commercial law firm offering the prize for outstanding dissertations in the field of corporate, business and capital market law for the ninth time.

The prize winners are:
1st prize: Dr Malte Wundenberg "Compliance and principle-based supervision of banking groups"
2nd prize: Dr Roland Schmidtbleicher "The bond creditor majority"
3rd prize: Dr Fabian Rösner "The integration of foundations in corporate groups and the effect on the duties of the foundation board"

The Prize carries a total cash sum of 10,000 euros. Managing partner Dr Hubertus Kolster said in his congratulatory address at the awards ceremony: "These awards are not just about recognising junior lawyers who have produced work at an exceptional level. Rather, we place particular emphasis on an original approach and real practical relevance. In this respect the prize winners have delivered outstanding work."

CMS Hasche Sigle has been awarding the Corporate Prize on a regular basis since 2003, with entries being invited for the 10th time this year. "The CMS Hasche Sigle Prize is our contribution towards promoting the area of corporate law, while also supporting younger academics," said Dr Axel Sigle, head of the Corporate and Transactions practice.
