HgCapital buys shares in DocMorris – CMS Hasche Sigle advises 3i and Dr. Neuhaus Techno Nord

3i (Frankfurt), Dr. Neuhaus Techno Nord (Hamburg) and other investors have sold approx. 46 % of the shares in the Dutch Internet chemist DocMorris to the British finance investors HgCapital. The volume of the transaction, which is still subject to clearance from the responsible cartel authority, was not disclosed. In the future 3i will thus own approx. 24 % of the shares and Dr. Neuhaus Techno Nord 14 %. The remaining 16 % are held by other investors.

Led by the Hamburg partner Dr Heino Büsching (corporate and tax law), Dr Marc Schacht (corporate and tax law) and Stefan Lehr (competition law) advised 3i and Dr. Neuhaus Techno Nord on the transaction.

According to information it itself provided, DocMorris, established in 2000, with currently approx. 500,000 customers, has a market share of approx. 80 % of mail order pharmacy products. The IPO is planned for 2006.
