ICC Court of Arbitration appoints CMS Hasche Sigle partner as Vice-Chairman

Berlin – Dr Klaus Sachs, partner at CMS Hasche Sigle, began a three-year term as Vice-Chairman of the ICC International Court of Arbitration in July 2009. The World Council of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) appointed Sachs as one of the deputies to Chairman John Beechey at a meeting in Kuala Lumpur.

Cornelius Brandi, Managing Partner of CMS Hasche Sigle, warmly congratulated his fellow partner on his election. "A top-level role such as this indicates not only the high esteem in which Klaus Sachs is held in the world of arbitration but also highlights the international reach of CMS Hasche Sigle."

The International Court of Arbitration was created by the ICC in 1923 and is headquartered in Paris. As one of the oldest institutions of this type it is the world’s leading international business arbitration body.
