JUVE Awards 2016: CMS Germany is Law Firm of the Year for Employment and Information Technology
Berlin – CMS Germany has won the JUVE Award "Law Firm of the Year for Employment". JUVE, the industry magazine for commercial lawyers, selects firms with outstanding achievements in the various fields of legal advice during the year. It then honours these firms at a gala event held at the Old Opera House in Frankfurt/Main. The selection process is based on the research that goes into compiling the JUVE Handbook. In addition to this award, JUVE has named CMS Germany "Law Firm of the Year" in the Information Technology category in the 2016/17 Handbook.

In recognising CMS Germany for Employment, the JUVE editorial team highlighted the firm's uniquely high level of market penetration in employment law. The citation continues: "CMS uses its immense size very skilfully to deliver innovation: the employment lawyers have followed up their successful online tool for deployment of external personnel (FPE) by launching other tools, e.g. for considering social criteria when planning redundancies. CMS is a strong adopter of legal tech, enabling it to offer clients hourly rates that are widely praised for their fairness.
Building on its successful track record, the practice has also been able to further raise the quality of its instructions and is serving as a catalyst for cross-disciplinary work. JUVE also named CMS Germany as "Law Firm of the Year" in the Information Technology category in the new JUVE Handbook on account of the "strong performance of the practice". "We regard the award as recognition of our systematic commitment to new technologies and our long-term approach to legal advice, aimed at addressing the specific requirements of our clients," said Dr Sebastian Cording, partner and head of Technology, Media & Communications.
