17/08/2016

Berlin – Austria-based S IMMO Group has sold part of its German residential property portfolio to Deutsche Investment Wohnen III, a fund managed by Deutsche Investment, and the EB GROUP. The transaction relates to some 1,500 residential units in Berlin and the Hamburg region. The sale portfolio constitutes around 20 percent of S Immo Group’s entire Germany portfolio. The parties agreed not to disclose details of the contract.

A CMS team led by partners Dr Matthias Kuß and Jesko Nobiling advised S IMMO Group on all legal and tax aspects of the transaction, which was structured as a bidding and sale process by VictoriaPartners, acting as financial advisor. Dr Matthias Kuß has been advising S IMMO Group for many years, including on the gradual acquisition of the portfolio that has now been sold.

Vienna-based S IMMO AG is a listed real estate investment company that invests in commercial property (offices, retail and hotels) and residential property in Austria, Germany and Central and South-Eastern Europe.
