As of 1 October 2005 Swiss law firms CMS von Erlach Klainguti Stettler Wille and Henrici, Wicki
& Guggisberg (HWG) will merge. This merger will underpin the position of the two commercial law
firms, which will in future operate under the name of CMS von Erlach Henrici, as one of the leading
full-service law firms in Switzerland. The reputable international law firm listings "Legal500"
includes both CMS von Erlach Klainguti Stettler Wille and HWG among the Top 10 Swiss commercial law
firms in numerous areas of business including banking, corporate and M&A.
Coming shortly after accession of Spanish law firm CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo, the
merger of CMS Lexcelis with DeBacker (forming CMS DeBacker) and the merger between CMS Hasche Sigle
and the Cologne office of Norton Rose Vieregge, this most recent merger is a further move in the
strategy of the CMS Alliance to reinforce its position in the international legal services market.
With over 575 partners, a total of 2,000 lawyers and tax consultants and around 3,800 support staff
