Stuttgart – Swiss energy company BKW FMB Energie AG has acquired another wind farm in Germany, scheduled to be operational by the end of 2010. The 20 wind power plants have a total installed capacity of 40 MW.
Berne-based BKW was advised on all aspects of the project from the start by a team led by partner Dr Jochen Lamb.
Construction of the Dubener Platte wind farm in Luckau, in the Federal State of Brandenburg, is already under way. Project development and construction is being handled by Lower Saxony company Ventotec GmbH. Already one of the largest energy companies in Switzerland, BKW's acquisition of the wind farm will further boost its position as a leading Swiss wind energy producer.
