Nicolai Ritter specialises in project developments. His real estate law practice focuses on construction law and the law governing the work of architects and engineers. Nicolai mainly concentrates on providing ongoing advice on construction projects and on legal project management for plant engineering and large-scale construction projects, particularly in an international context. Clients include German and international developers as well as investors and contractors.
Nicolai joined CMS in 2004 and became a partner in 2013. From 1999 to 2004, he was a research assistant at the Center for European Integration Studies (ZEI) in Bonn. He regularly publishes on construction and planning law issues and is often called upon as a speaker in this field. He teaches International Construction and Plant Engineering Law at the University of Hanover.
