Senior Catalonian State Attorney Jorge Sánchez Vicente has joined CMS as a Partner at its office in Barcelona. Sánchez's former roles include a position on the board of directors of the Port Authority of Barcelona and Secretary of the Advisory Council and Executive Committee of the CELLS consortium responsible for the operation of the Alba synchrotron radiation facility. As a distinguished litigation attorney, he has represented the state in key civil, criminal and judicial review proceedings and possesses vast experience in regulatory law, public procurement, competition law, taxation and urban planning. Moreover, given his expertise in the telecommunications sector, he has also held the roles of Secretary of the Telecommunications Market Commission and Coordinator of the Legal Advisory Services Agreement entered into by said Commission and the State Attorneys' Office. Jorge is a former State Attorney with the High Court of Justice of Catalonia.
Aside from his duties as State Attorney, he also worked for several years at the Court of Justice of the European Union.
