Partnership between PSL-Dauphine Legal Clinic and CMS Francis Lefebvre Avocats
This partnership, established at the start of 2017, is an innovative and practical training programme for lawyers.
It will allow students from Paris-Dauphine and PSL to benefit from the experience and support of our firm’s lawyers.
Through the partnership, our lawyers advise and supervise the work of students providing legal support for companies selected by the PSL Pépite, D-Start and D-Incubator programmes. At a practical level, teams of three students – from third-year Law undergraduates to second-year Master’s in Law students – are created to provide legal support to company projects, under the supervision of a CMS Francis Lefebvre Avocats lawyer. Almost 30 startups are involved. In practice, the initiative involves:
a pro-bono commitment from CMS Francis Lefebvre Avocats to provide three-hours of assistance per academic year in the form of skills-based sponsorship;
help identifying legal and tax problems for the selected projects (creation of companies, protection of ideas, shareholder agreements, general terms and conditions of sale, employment law, etc.);
discussions with the students about their work and recommendations, in liaison with Thibaut Massart, associate professor of law and director of the Legal Clinic.

Lyon
Fondation Paul Bocuse
Set up in 2004, Fondation Paul Bocuse is the biggest corporate foundation in the Rhône-Alps region, authorised by the prefect for the Rhône area. CMS Francis Lefebvre Lyon Avocats is a founding member of the foundation.
Behind the project is the idea that has driven Paul Bocuse over the years, the source of his energy and strength: “We’re manual workers, our profession can be learned, it is a profession of mentoring and we have a duty to pass on our knowledge. Supporting young people, working with them and helping them to reveal their talent”. His role is to: “Pass on the traditional know-how, expertise and life skills of these professions”.
CMS Francis Lefebvre Lyon Avocats signed a skills sponsorship agreement with PEPITE Beelys (Pôle Etudiants pour l’Innovation, le Transfert et l’Entrepreneuriat or student centre for innovation, transfer and entrepreneurship) at the Entrepreneurs Trade Fair held in Lyon in June 2017.
France’s leading student entity for innovation, entrepreneurship and transfer, PEPITE Beelys supports and helps students and young graduates seeking to found their own company.
In 2014, the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research set out a new policy to promote student entrepreneurship, with the creation of the PEPITE (French for “nugget”). Today, PEPITE Beelys is the largest of France’s 29 PEPITE. Present in Lyon and Saint-Etienne, it covers almost 33 establishments, and represents over 150,000 students and 130 players in entrepreneurship and innovation.
