Renewable energy is revolutionising the electricity sector in Europe. The resulting increase in investment in renewable projects has been significant in most countries. With each country seeking to employ its own approach adapted to its circumstances and aspirations, and address its own unique issues, it is important to recognise the often subtle differences between the various frameworks that have been implemented across Europe.
This seminar will focus on the pipeline of renewable energy projects, in particular onshore, offshore and PV, and our team’s experience in this area in Central and Eastern Europe.
We will explore key issues concerning renewable energy projects in countries such as Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic and Ukraine, with a particular focus on:
- opportunities for investing in renewable energy projects,
- key renewable energy technologies,
- permitting processes,
- support schemes,
- main challenges due to regulatory risk,
- practical financing issues.
Further details and a list of speakers will be provided closer to the event.
