There is no doubt that ‘Environmental, Social, Governance’ (ESG) has been at the forefront of everyone's agendas in recent years. With real estate being the biggest consumer of energy, the industry has seen a considerable shift in companies policies and strategies, and investors decision-making priorities.

We invite you to join us at our virtual panel debate on 15 September, where we will explore the key themes identified in our eighth annual thought leadership report; Real Estate Reset.

We are delighted to be joined by our panellists:

  • Cressida Curtis, Head of Corporate Affairs & Sustainability, British Land
  • Harry de Ferry Foster, Head of UK, Savills Investment Management
  • David Kaiser, Head of Real Estate UK & Ireland, WeWork
  • Dan Grandage, Head of ESG, Real Estate, Aberdeen Standard Investments
  • Cheryl Gurnham, Real Estate Partner, CMS

We will explore what ESG really means and how it is open to various interpretations. Join us in examining the lasting effects of Covid-19 and the emergence of a ‘new norm’ in the way we live and work and how the ‘Social’ aspect of ESG is even more under the microscope in order to create long lasting sustainable communities.

With the 'future of the office' under careful scrutiny, we will look at the ways in which office buildings, in particular, are changing to suit the needs of the end user and how buildings may refocus to have a more positive social impact in areas such as physical and mental wellbeing.

Launch of the latest CMS real estate report findings

We will be launching our latest major thought leadership report which has been produced in conjunction with FTI Consulting. Our research looks at 8 key jurisdictions: England & Wales, Scotland, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Poland & Czech Republic and Singapore. Through a major census in each location, we explored what office occupiers prioritise in their buildings and how much of an impact the pandemic really has had on the sector. We have gathered the perspectives of industry professionals, office occupiers and institutional investors. We also deliver insights into more general market trends across real estate.

We hope you can join us in what will be a thought-provoking discussion.
