Risk Essentials Breakfast: Levelling-up litigation risk – Development of European and UK class actions (Edinburgh)

US–style class actions have arrived in the UK.  Currently they are restricted to competition claims, but the legislative trend is towards enabling further class action.  The Scottish Parliament has passed legislation countenancing class actions for all types of claim.  This developments are concerning corporates as they significantly increase financial and reputational risks. In this session we will discuss the key developments in the UK and elsewhere in Europe which corporates should be aware of.  We will also provide pragmatic tips on how to manage these potentially very large litigation risks.
