Risk Essentials – Internal Investigations: the people dimension

Past event
18 November 2020, 14:00 - 15:00 UTC +01:00

There has been a sharp rise in organisations conducting internal investigations in recent years. A greater focus on culture and governance, more robust regulatory regimes and an increase in whistleblowing have all been contributing factors. There are a number of legal issues to consider right at the very outset and throughout the process. In addition to legal privilege and data protection, employment law and people management issues play a part. The process of interviewing witnesses, confidentiality and the possibility of disciplinary sanctions all need to be addressed. In this webinar employment partner Finlay McKay focuses on the people side of running an internal investigation, and shares his insights on conducting investigations remotely.
