The Infrastructure sector has always played an important role in the economic resilience of nations. As countries respond to the global pandemic, set ambitious NetZero targets and look to increase connectivity, it is more important than ever before.

There are trends that are impacting the full spectrum of infrastructure; from protectionism and the impact this has had on the flow of capital across global markets, ESG’s importance in investment decisions to digital infrastructure and new funding models. The sector continues to evolve rapidly around the world.

Please join us on Thursday 17 June, as we launch the CMS 2021 Infrastructure Index. The Index ranks 50 countries by attractiveness for infrastructure investments and analyses the opportunities and trends globally.

Speakers include:

• Robert Peston, Political Editor of ITV News, is our keynote speaker and will discuss the spending on infrastructure promised by governments to drive economies as they come out of Covid-19 in light of the levels of Covid-19 support. How can the Covid-19 recovery, digitalisation and NetZero and other priorities be balanced and funded?
• Kristy Duane, CMS, Global Co-Head of Infrastructure, will outline the highlights of the CMS 2021 Infrastructure Index report.
• Lawrence Slade, CEO of GIIA, will share his views on the challenges and opportunities for infrastructure investors. CMS has been delighted to collaborate with GIIA on the 2021 Infrastructure Index.

A panel session of industry experts will follow, discussing many of the themes outlined above.
