CMS in London has appointed Keith Wilson as head of Aircraft Finance and a partner in the asset finance team.
Keith joins the firm from Berwin Leighton Paisner and brings twenty-five years of experience in aircraft finance, representing clients across a wide variety of transactions including debt and capital market transactions, leasing transactions and portfolio acquisitions and sales.
Although primarily focused on the aircraft finance and leasing industry, Keith also has considerable experience of other asset classes including oil and gas financing and leasing particularly reserve based lending, vendor financing, ship finance and real estate finance.
Keith’s appointment follows the success the firm has achieved with the arrival of Tim Elliott in April last year and supports the continuing development of CMS’ asset finance capability.
Rita Lowe, Head of Banking and International Finance comments: “We are delighted to welcome Keith to CMS. Keith is an extremely experienced and widely recognised practitioner in aviation finance. His appointment is consistent with our global strategy and in particular our focus on sectors which support our clients. Keith will work alongside an international team to support and strengthen our existing expertise and international client base.”
Andrew Ivison, Head of Infrastructure and Project Finance adds “ Keith’s appointment not only strengthens our asset finance capability in the UK, but enhances CMS’ reputation and coverage more generally across a number of key asset classes and builds on other CMS developments taking place in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.”
Keith Wilson comments “I am delighted to join CMS where the opportunity to serve my existing clients and their multi-jurisdictional requirements is complemented by the firm’s global platform. and offers the opportunity to develop relationships with CMS’ aircraft finance clients.”
