CMS launches 14th edition of the Pensions Law Handbook, amid significant regulatory changes across the sector

CMS is delighted to announce the launch of the 14th edition of the Pensions Law Handbook, the definitive guide to pensions law and practice in the UK. Written by the CMS pensions team, it is an essential guide for the pensions community, navigating readers through the complex web of pensions-related statutes, regulations, regulatory guidance and case law, in an accessible style.

The handbook includes legislative provisions and governance guidance on:

  • New governance and disclosure requirements for DC schemes;
  • The General Data Protection Regulation;
  • New rules for bulk transfers;
  • Revised PPF compensation provisions;
  • New deferred debt arrangements;
  • An introduction to the Master Trust regime.

New case law includes:

  • Employer duties (IBM and BBC v Bradbury);
