CMS is delighted to announce the launch of the 15th edition of the Pensions Law Handbook, the definitive guide to pensions law and practice in the UK. Written by the CMS pensions team, it is an essential guide for the pensions community, navigating readers through the complex web of pensions-related statutes, regulations, regulatory guidance and case law, in an accessible style.

The new material in this edition of the handbook includes an overview of the:

  • Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020;
  • New requirements for investment governance and disclosure;
  • Proposals for a new DB funding code of practice;
  • Important cases including Lloyds Bank (GMP equalisation), Hughes (PPF compensation cap), Safeway (equalisation) and BIC (scheme amendment).

The Pensions Law Handbook, the 14th edition of which was described as having “an excellent pedigree” by The Law Society Gazette, is edited jointly by Jennifer Bell (CMS Partner) and Susan Jones (CMS Knowledge Lawyer). Published by Bloomsbury Professional, it is available to order now.
