CMS named Pensions Law Firm of the Year

International law firm CMS is pleased to announce that, for the second consecutive year, CMS has been named “Pensions Law Firm of the Year” at the 2020 UK Pension and Investment Provider Awards. 

Now in its 23rd year, the annual awards reward and commend those companies that have excelled in demonstrating dedication to customer service and innovation. In 2019, the CMS Pensions team won both the PIPA award for “Pension Law Firm of the Year” as well as the title of “European Pensions Law Firm of the Year” at the European Pensions Awards.

The CMS Pensions team has had a raft of successes and work highlights over the past 12 months, including; advising on the UK’s biggest ever pensions buy-out transaction (Stanhope Pension Trust’s £4.7 billion deal with Rothesay Life), advising LifeSight to become the first authorised master trust under the Pensions Regulator’s new authorisation regime and, most recently, the team has advised the Trustee of the LV= Employee Pension Scheme on the conversion of a longevity swap into an £800 million buy-in.
