CMS promotes 60 to partnership in record-breaking year for global promotions

11 April 2022

International law firm CMS is pleased to announce the promotion of 60 new partners, representing the firm’s largest-ever global promotions round. The appointments span 33 cities across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa.
A total of 15 partners in five cities across the firm’s UK offices have been promoted to the firm’s partnership, including seven women. Women account for 43% of promotions globally.

The promotions come after a successful year for CMS and underscore the firm’s commitment to investing in its people. CMS has implemented a number of pioneering measures to support the progression and inclusion of its people, including: a dynamic hybrid working environment, top-quality mentoring programmes and a technology-led work allocation system.

Penelope Warne, The Senior Partner, CMS UK, comments:
“In these challenging times, supporting each other has never mattered more and is integral to a diverse and successful business. We have a responsibility to invest in our people and embrace supportive and progressive measures that enable all our people to thrive and reach their full potential. This latest round of partner promotions reflects this commitment. We are very pleased to welcome these 60 diverse and talented lawyers to the partnership and congratulate them on achieving this significant milestone.”
