Taking place from 7-10 May 2019, the inaugural London International Disputes Week (LIDW) will explore the future of international dispute resolution and London’s place in it, through a programme of interactive sessions and networking events.
LIDW comes at a watershed time for the UK legal sector, and is set to be a must-attend week as London considers its future role and status as a dispute resolution hub in the post-Brexit environment.
Bringing together leading lawyers, judges, arbitrators, academics and others involved in dispute resolution from around the world, LIDW includes a 1-day conference at the National Gallery, 18 sessions focussing on forms of dispute resolution across a number of sectors and numerous opportunities for participants to network with colleagues drawn from all over the world.
As a founding member of LIDW, CMS is delighted to be hosting an interactive session as part of LIDW at our London offices on 7 May, focusing on technology and its increasingly vital role in dispute resolution. The session will explore:
- how Courts and arbitral institutions are developing innovative processes and procedures to resolve disputes in the technological age; and
- as technology continues to infiltrate or take over traditional businesses and sectors, the need for legal systems to find answers to novel and difficult questions.
Attendees will also get a chance to view some of the best legal dispute resolution technology on the market.
