CMS reappointed to Landsec legal panel

20 July 2022

International law firm CMS has been reappointed to the legal panel of longstanding client Landsec, a FTSE 100 commercial property development and investment company. CMS is re-appointed to the UK core legal panel for a period of five years.

CMS has advised Landsec on a number of key projects over the course of its relationship, including Landsec’s recent acquisition of a 75% interest in MediaCity, Europe’s leading, digital, media and tech hub.

Head of Real Estate John Cumpson, who led the pitch process, comments: “We are delighted to have been reappointed to Landsec’s legal panel. This appointment allows us to build on our relationship and accompany Landsec on the next stage of growth, not least the development of the Urban Opportunities element of its strategy.”

The CMS team was led by John Cumpson, with support from Barry Morris, Cheryl Gurnham, Rebecca Kitchingham, Chris Chambers, Mark Haywood, Tanya Francis, Eleanor Murray, Chris Bowes, Keeley Ellaway and Ros Hill (Real Estate); Victoria Henry (Corporate); Phil Anderson (Tax); Chris Hallam (Construction); and Sharon Jenkins (Legal Operations).
