Nabarro backs Atlantic Endeavour rowers in 3,000 mile challenge

Nabarro announces today that it is backing Atlantic Endeavour, four intrepid young women who will be looking to break records and barriers by rowing 3,000 nautical miles across the Atlantic from the Canary Islands to Antigua.

The Atlantic Endeavour team is Sarah Hornby, Kate Hallam, Becky Charlton and Charlotte Best, all of whom are fitting in training around their day jobs. They will be taking part in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge which claims to be the world’s toughest rowing race. Far more people have climbed Everest or been into space than have successfully rowed the Atlantic, one of the biggest endurance feats on the planet.

They are planning to break two world records: the fastest four women crew and fastest all women crew to cross the Atlantic (current record 40 days).

The team will row around the clock in two hour shifts. Once they leave the safety of the harbour in the Canary Islands, they’re on their own, with all their food and equipment on board for the entire trip. The boat is specially made for an ocean crossing and equipped with a water maker, which converts sea water to drinking water.

Nabarro is delighted to be the Key Partner of Atlantic Endeavour and support them in their mission to inspire women to break new boundaries. Atlantic Endeavour is also raising money and awareness for two charities: mental health charity, Mind, and international women's development charity, Women for Women International.

Ciaran Carvalho, senior partner at Nabarro, commented:
“We’re proud to be supporting Atlantic Endeavour as they take on this amazing challenge and inspiring feat of endurance. The whole of Nabarro is looking forward to following their progress, raising money for worthwhile causes and cheering them on as they prepare and set off on the race. As part of our Wellbeing programme, we’ll also be fascinated to hear from Sarah, Kate, Becky and Charlotte with tips on training, diet and mental resilience.”
